Clannad is undoubtedly one of the greats of Irish folk-rock. With 2 very distinct stages: the first highly recommended for those who like the good irish-folk and the second that catapulted them to fame. In the voice and choirs Máire Ní Bhraonáin vocalist, influenced the entire musical spectrum the so-called New Age (of course, Clannad isn't in this category). Should also be noted the great influence music to Enya's younger sister Máire.

In this second stage 2 albums I keep reaching 'Legend' and 'Macalla'.

'Legend' is the present day and is based on the legend of Robin Hood for a television series that went unnoticed, except his music, indeed. It was published in 1984, in the reign of the Disco music can actually see that on the cover look the hero has more of a character in the discos of the 80's, more than a mediaeval thief, heh, heh.

Music is the best, and this album is at least 3 tracks that appear in one of its many compilations. I will nominate in order of preference which I find indispensable:

-Ancient Forest

-Herne

-Robin (The Hooded Man)

In fact the whole LP like me, is a very large and fine work.

Clannad es sin duda uno de los grandes del folk-rock irlandés. Con 2 etapas muy marcadas: una primera muy recomendada para los que gustan del buen folk-irlandés y la segunda que los catapultó a la fama mundial. En que la voz y coros de su vocalista Máire Ní Bhraonáin, influyeron en todo el espectro musical de la llamada New Age (por cierto, Clannad no está en esta categoría). También cabe hacer notar la gran influencia musical hacia Enya la hermana menor de Máire.

"De esta segunda etapa me quedo con 2 álbumes trascendentales: 'Legend' y 'Macalla'.

Legend' es el que presento hoy y está basado en la leyenda de Robin Hood para una serie televisiva que pasó sin pena ni gloria, salvo su música, por cierto. Fue publicado en 1984, en pleno reinado de la onda disco, de hecho pueden observar que en la portada el héroe tiene más facha de un personaje de las discoteques de los 80's, más que de un ladrón medieval, je, je.

La música es de lo mejor, y de este álbum hay al menos 3 pistas que aparecen en alguna de sus muchas compilaciones. Voy a nombrar en orden de preferencia las que me parecen imprescindibles:

-Herne

-Robin (The Hooded Man)

En realidad el LP completo me gusta, es un muy gran y fino trabajo.
